Examining the way to the revelations of the Lord
Revelation does not come from human understanding or from the abundance of words. A counsel is darkened when there is no revelation from God or where the understanding of a thing is lacking. A darkened counsel means confusion, ignorance words, wrong solutions, foolish responses or destructive advice. To darken counsel mean to take light away. It means to take understanding away from a thing or situation. and to introduce confusion. That’s why God said to Job, “Who is this that darkens counsel by words without knowledge” - Job 38:1
What is counsel?
Counsel is an information, an advice, a saying meant to provide a clear part or direction to attain a goal or provide a solution. “Counsel in the heart of man is like deep waters: But a man of understanding will draw it out. - Proverbs 20:5”. Counsel is in its raw state in our hearts, we need to figure it out to be able to apply it rightly to our circumstances. it.
Who needs counsel?
God gives anyone who seeks His counsel access to it - because we all need counsel, to thrive in our walk with God, and in succeeding in our assignments here on earth. The Scripture tells us that wisdom, knowledge and counsel belongs to the Lord. We are to seek counsel from the Lord before we take on any project in life so that we can receive directions on the best route to take for success.
Two dimensions of counsel
1. GODLY COUNSEL
The counsel of God (Psalm 106:13). It is the wisdom available to man through the spirit of God.
Wisdom belongs to the Lord. (Proverbs 8:14). The counsel of God cannot be accessed by anyone who is not of God. It is expensive. It is available to the worshippers of the Lord. It is available to those who stay obedient to His words in humility.
How do one gain godly counsel?
Through the Holy Spirit
In true worship

Through divine inspirations
Through anointed teachings (Acts 18:18-24)

Who is godly counsel available to?

For the upright (proverbs 3:21)

2. DEMONIC COUNSEL
Those who do not seek the Lord’s counsel use the counsel of the world. The Bible calls this type of counsel demonic wisdom (James 3:15). It is not the wisdom from God. It is earthly and not inspired by the Holy Spirit. It is popular and common. That’s why people advice is plentiful and solutions are few.

With these in mind, how do you gain the counsel of the Lord? One of the ways a believer can have access to a deeper level of revelation is to apply Psalm 49:4 “I will disclose my dark sayings with a Harp” - Worship the Lord. Worship Him with your instrument. Worship Him with your body, Worship Him with your lifestyle, Worship Him with your words, and in all that you allow into your mind.
